I have been a fan of 3D HDTV for many years. With the latest released of Samsung UN65D8000, I am very excited. I have read many reviews on various High Definition television and go around comparing most of the famous brands. Finally, I settle down with this Big LED television.

Before laying my hands on my current television, I was with my Samsung UN65C8000 happily seated at my living room. Although Samsung UN65D8000 Features and my old television are quite similar, however I just love the newer technology from this newer HDTV.

Now, let’s talk about the arrival of my beloved television. Once it arrived, I quickly check my  Samsung UN65D8000 Specifications to confirm. I check that all my items such as UN65D8000, QWERTY remote control, television stand,  two pair of 3D glasses and documentation are in the box.

To be very fair with my judgement, I set up both HDTV side by side and turn on for a period of 3 days continuously. This is very important especially for the new Samsung UN65D8000 which all the new components are ‘cold’ and new to ‘burn-in’ to perform its best.

To be frank, out of the box, the newer model outperform to the newer model only slightly. However, I just let my whole audio and video system turn on for 3 days before making any judgement. If you are an Stereophile reader, you will know what I mean.

Now, 72 hours came and I am overjoyed. I put on my Avatar and Tron Legacy 3D Blu-ray disc and glance at both televisions each with 5 minutes interval. This is to compare both my Samsung UN65C8000 and Samsung UN65D8000 to see the difference. Yes, I can see much improvement especially with fast action movies.

The Samsung UN65C8000 actually is a bargain considering its price to performance ratio. I would give it a 80% since it looks great and the smooth fluid pictures are simply amazing. However, if you prefer smooth fluid pictures and combine it with Higher Definition, than Samsung UN65D8000 would be the clear winner.

Apart from that, 3D realism is simply breathtaking with the newer model. Imagine watching the ‘Big Bird’ in Avatar from over 20 meter charging towards you will cause your heart to throb. In Tron Legacy, watching the ‘Light Cycle’ over 10 meters coming towards you and speed off will let you be part of the show.

All these High End Audio and Video once combine together are top notch. To Buy Samsung UN65D8000 will be my Best Recommendation for this year. Do look out for more information on Samsung UN65D8000 before making any commitment. Have fun…
